Dear Parents and Carers,
We are always looking for new ways to enhance our outdoor learning and play opportunities for the children. One of the ways we hope to do this is by developing our playground with a range of loose parts and construction materials that encourage creativity, teamwork, problem-solving and imaginative play.
We are therefore asking whether any parents or carers work for, or have connections with, businesses that may occasionally have surplus materials they would be willing to donate. We are particularly interested in items such as:
- Wooden pallets (in good condition)
- Plastic barrels or drums
- Cable reels
- Tyres
- Crates
- Planks
- Large pipes or tubing
- Salt bins
- Other clean (clean from dangerous chemicals/substances), safe construction materials suitable for children’s play
If you think your workplace may be able to help, or you have access to any suitable materials, we would love to hear from you. Donations of this kind can make a huge difference to the experiences we are able to provide for our children.
If you are able to help, please contact the school office with details before bringing any items onto site, so that we can ensure they are suitable and arrange a convenient time for collection or delivery.
Thank you for your continued support. We are incredibly grateful to our school community, and we look forward to hearing from anyone who may be able to help.
Kind regards,
James Benham
