School Day
The school day begins at 8:40am and ends at 3:10pm.
This equates to a total of 32.5 hours per week, including break times but excluding any before- or after-school activities.
Morning Arrival
- Playground gates open at 8:30am
- Cloakroom doors open at 8:35am, and children go directly to their classrooms
- Lessons begin promptly at 8:40am
If you need to pass a message to your child’s class teacher, please email: office@laurelsprimary.co.uk and mark your message FAO (For the Attention Of) the relevant teacher.
Late Arrival
If you arrive after classroom doors are closed or school gates are locked, you must:
- Enter via the main school entrance
- Sign your child in at the school office. This ensures all pupils are safely accounted for.
End of the School Day (Home Time)
- Parents and carers may enter the school grounds at collection time and wait outside the classroom
- Children will only be released once staff have seen and acknowledged the authorised adult collecting them for safeguarding reasons:
- Children can only be collected by authorised adults or siblings aged 16 or over
Please inform the school as soon as possible of any changes to collection arrangements
